Justin Bieber was detained for about four hours Thursday afternoon at Los Angeles International Airport by U.S. Customs.
That's right -- immigration reform and whatnot. U.S.A.! U.S.A.!Bieber was detained after returning on an Air Singapore flight from Tokyo, where he saw the sights and spent time with his mother, Pattie Mallette, according to E! News. He also sparked a controversy for praying at war shrine in Japan.
Bieber was reportedly questioned and eventually let go. The 20-year-old singer is likely getting increased scrutiny because he's scheduled to go on trial this summer for charges of driving under the influence in Miami Beach, and is awaiting trial for a misdemeanor assault charge in Toronto.

Shortly afterward, Bieber tweeted "Life is good. Keep it positive always." Later he wrote "Everybody spread the love and positivity."
He's obviously up to something.
Last week, the White House declined action on a petition signed by more than 200,000 people demanding Bieber's deportation to his native Canada. The petition stated, "We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked."
