Ondo By-Election “Inconclusive”- says INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared yesterday’s House of Representatives by-election in Ilaje Ese-Odo federal constituency in Ondo State as inconclusive.
INEC’s returning officer in the election, Professor Babatunde Adeyemi of the Federal University of Technology Akure said results so far collated shows that there was no clear winner in the election. The announcement which shocked observers and journalists was made at the collation center in Igbokoda township in Ondo riverine area. Prof. Adeyemi has ordered that a re-run election be conducted in the area.
The election was held to fill the vacant seat that was once occupied by a deceased member of the Labor Party, Raphael Oloye Nomiye,
