Wenger backs FIFA on Barça sanction

Wenger backs FIFA on Barça sanctionThe Arsenal manager, Frenchman Arsène Wenger, has backed the sanction imposed by FIFA on Barcelona because the Spanish club "have not respected the rules" for signing underage players.
"The rule is quite simple, you cannot move the players before the age of 16 unless their parents move for professional reasons," he said in a press conference. However, he does believe that FIFA needs to
change the current rules.
"In this case, FIFA has judged the parents moved for football reasons and that is why they were banned because they have not respected the rules," he added.
According to Wenger, there will always be a "debate" as to whether the family of a young footballer moves for professional reasons or not, because "there is more money in the game, so the parents will be tempted to give their young boys a chance to have a great career".
