Mass wedding hits Kaduna, as 100 couples tie knots

One hundred women, including widows and divorcee were married off yesterday as part of the maiden mass wedding conducted in Kaduna State.
The development came as the state Governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero said his government would sponsor the next round of mass wedding in the state which would include both Muslims and Christians.

The mass wedding was organised by Darur Rahmah and officiated by Sultan Bello Mosque, Sheikh Balele Wali at Al-Mannar Juma’at Mosque in the state.
Sheikh Wali tasked the grooms and brides to fear Allah and take the marriage seriously. He said marriage was the best thing that could happen to any individual, saying it was now the responsibility of the grooms to feed and clothes their wives.
In his response, Chairman of Darur Rahmah in Kaduna, Sheikh Ishaq Yunus said the group has succeeded in conducting the marriage of 100 women including widows in the state.
