Thousands of fans party hard at almost 8 hour concert in the rain
…Timaya reveals new up coming collabo with DJ Neptune
…Kcee M.I.A at Star Music Trek Uyo
Lagos|Nigeria, April 14, 2014
Hours of pouring rain could not prevent headline artistes M.I Wande
Coal, Timaya and Naeto C from presenting music fans in Uyo with the most
exciting concert of the year as the vibrant quartet ensured that they
pulled out all the stops to thrill fans during the third stage of the
electrifying multi city concert- Star Music Trek.
The music show, which held at Ibom Hall Ground Uyo on April 12 had an
impressive turn out, with thousands of fans refusing to give up their
spaces at the concert grounds for nearby shelters and electing to
instead party with their favorite artistes in the rain.
The high energy and pulsating momentum that characterize every Trek were
no less evident in Uyo as the audience joined along in every song and
game, dancing enthusiastically as artiste after artiste stormed the
massive stage to deliver a five star performance.
Naeto C, perhaps highly energized by the receptive audience, delivered
what may arguably be one of his most exciting performances of any Trek.
Dressed in a black tee and jeans, he engaged fans in quick banter
through out the concert while delivering fan favourites, Tony Montana,
Kini Big Deal, Don't Stop, and many more.
There’s not an audience that Mister Incredible can’t work up, foul and
or not and the one in Uyo proved no exception. Eager fans who had
trooped out to see the popular rapper who had last visited the city few
months ago left satisfied as every song the artiste performed during his
almost one hour set- Anotie, Number One, Nobody etc- was a special
dedication to his fans in the rain.
Apparently, Wande Coal’s Baby Hello off his forthcoming album is making
waves in Uyo too. And so also are fan favourites: Rotate, Bumper to
Bumper, You Bad, Amorawa and more. Virtually every song from Wande Coal
has become a veritable hit, which explains the high expectation that is
preceding his soon to be released album.
Decked in a print shirt and brown pants. The Black Diamond strode the
stage and took the audience through a spectacular 45 minute performance
with his full persona in tow: dancer, performer, singer and most
especially talented artiste.
There’s a reason why the audience were highly expectant of Timaya and
its not just because of his monster hit ‘Ukwu’. His eccentric
performances have a way of stirring the audience and right on The Trek
stage, in inclement weather, he was at his best.
He didn't fail to do that having perfected the art of the unusual while
ensuring that fans enjoyed every second of his performance.
The Ukwu star dished out Plantain Boy, Ekoloma Demba, Sexy Ladies,
Molonogede and many more hits from his large repertoire of songs and
left Ukwu to selected female fans to perform before leaving the stage
amidst thunderous cheers from the audience.
The fourth concert off The Trek line up will hold on April 19th 2013 in Umuahia, Abia State.
Star Music Trek 2014 will tour six other cities: Orlu, Ekwulobia,
Onitsha, Benin, Ado Ekiti culminating in a spectacular grand finale
which will hold at Jalisco Sports Center, Oshodi, Lagos State.
